Thrive - Rest Area for a Modern Life This introductory workshop will show you how a regular practice of yoga can support your body and mind to feel calm, centred, less stressed, less likely to develop burnout as well as have a greater sense of happiness. This workshop is comprised of 4 short (10-30min) videos: 1. Yoga for a strong, supple body - a focus on the physical form of self-care. Strengthening and stretching our muscles regularly ensures we have less pain, improves muscle tone and flexibility, increase blood circulation, improve pulmonary function, more ease of mobility, improve posture and give us increased levels of energy. 2. Yoga for Mindfulness - a focus on the mental aspect of self-care. Yoga is a form of body awareness practice where we focus on getting the pose right but also very aware of our bodily sensations and feelings and training our mind not to judge or react to them. 3. Yoga for Heart & Mind - A focus on the emotional and physical aspects of self-care. Yoga not only improves muscle tone and flexibility, but also lubricates joints, improves the functioning of the nervous system, the digestive system, just to name a few. It also calms the mind and emotions and promotes healthy, regular sleep patterns. 4. Yoga for Rest - The act of just being. Resting. Rest soothes the body, mind and spirit. This allows us to engage with and navigate the world a little better and with a little more joy or contentment. Absolute Bliss!
